Seasons Greetings!

As we celebrate this year and look toward the next we are asking for your support. In 2024,  Church of Clown is committed to once again provide a full season of physical theater performances and  training opportunities, but we simply cannot without your contribution!  2023 was our very first year in existence and in this time we -

• Created our own storefront theater space

•  Produced an 8 week clown festival with 21 performances from 7 different performers/companies including one international touring act

• Presented  4 different touring productions from outside San Francisco

• Served our community through Summer Intensives and Session Based Classes

•   Empowered youth through our Social Circus Program with ongoing weekly classes and performances

What’s Next? Read on! We have big goals and big hearts!

Beginning in 2024 we’re planning to - 

• Open an additional storefront space and expand our classes and theatrical offerings

• Begin our Humanitarian Performance Initiative and send performers to places in need. 

• Produce an exciting new works festival called 10 Fold Physique

• Expand our programming for Elders in our community

• Expand our Social Circus Program 

• Build a performance company and create a body of new work

• Keep the clown community alive and well while supporting new, exhilarating, performance work like you expect to see in San Francisco.

Our stretch goal for 2024 is to expand into the space right next door to us, building out a center that facilitates training in all types of circus arts, while we continue to build out our theater space for original and touring work. 

The Bay Area lost a lot of venues for original performance in 2023. Church of Clown is here to fill the void and uplift our performance community in San Francisco and beyond. Join us in creating a community that trains hard and plays even harder. You won’t regret it!
