Support local housing and land justice! For this project to become a reality we need to raise some money towards the purchase price of the land. Can you help? Donations will contribute towards the creation of much-needed permanently affordable housing. We are fundraising $177,900 for Valley Community Land Trust before we close at the end of June. VCLT is under contract as the purchaser of the land, and will lease the land to Noble Home Design/Build for development and Valley Housing Co-op will own the duplexes and lease the land. Any amount raised above the cost of the land will be used as a permanent subsidy on the duplexes to make them affordable now and into the future. VCLT holds over 200 acres of land in Franklin County, with 13 leaseholds (homes) in Colrain, Ashfield, Greenfield, and Wendell. <a href="https://www.valleyhousing.coop/" style="color:inherit;text-decoration:inherit;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit">Valley Housing Co-op</a> is a group equity housing coop providing the benefits of stable homeownership  that is financially accessible and flexible like renting. VHC is receiving loans from the Cooperative Fund of the Northeast and Equity Trust to purchase the duplexes. <a href="https://noblehome.design/" style="color:inherit;text-decoration:inherit;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit">Noble Home Design/Build</a> is owned by Noah Grunberg specializing in ecological design build including passive solar. Noble Home will be leasing land from VCLT to create a sustainable small home settlement with a vibrant community of 24 housing units with affordable and market rate units with small efficient homes with shared common space and preserving open space.
