This donation will help a lot to achieve our mission. We'll be able to pay an experienced bilingual English and Spanish translators and interpreters to:

- Translate the content on our website so it will be bilingual
- Translate our promotional content so it will be bilingual
- Assist with translation of oral history interviews

-Provide interpretation services at live events

-Produce Spanish versions of the Las Culturas del Sur de Ohio podcast

The purpose and mission of Southern Ohio Folklife is to research, support, document, and network folklife within the southern Ohio region, focusing specifically on Clermont, Brown, Highland, Adams, Ross, Pike, Scioto, Vinton, Jackson, Lawrence, and Gallia Counties. Southern Ohio Folklife engages community-centered participatory approaches and collaborative methodologies in order to center local perspectives and knowledges in complex, equitable, and inclusive representations and decision-making processes that impact local life.
