Here is What Your Sponsorship Helps Us Accomplish:

• This year we hosted 332 campers in grades first through twelfth during 6 weeks of summer camp. Camp fees were kept at less than half of the actual cost of our summer camp programs so all children could afford to attend.
• In addition, campers received about $11,000 in camp scholarships along with another $10,000 in other forms of financial aid.
• Scholarships were given to children with a parent in Active Military Duty, an incarcerated parent, or with demonstrated financial need.
• Campers at Phoebe Needles Center learn to be self-aware, to live in community, to build inner strength, to be supportive friends, and to be good stewards of nature, the environment, and the world in which they live. 
• Each year, we serve over 300 adults in our Active Seniors and Lifelong Learning Programs.
• We encourage giving back to our community via outreach. In 2024, we hosted a canned and dry goods drive for a local food bank, a clothing drive for our local schools, and a pet food drive for our local animal shelter. We also sent cheer to our local nursing home residents and sick veterans through cards made by our campers. In addition, our campers and staff volunteered with several local organizations in Boones Mill, Callaway, Ferrum, Floyd, Henry, and Roanoke.
• Proceeds from our Annual Fall Festival are used to support the daily operations that allow us to provide the above-described support for our community. Proceeds from our Fall Festival Sponsorships are used to support the Fall Festival event, with any remaining dollars going to our fundraising goal.
