Our nonprofit microschool, Wildwood ALC in Boone NC, suffered a
tremendous loss during Hurricane Helene, when the nearby creek
destroyed the building we were renting and almost all of the
physical items essential to providing our unique, student-centered 

learning experience.

Wildwood is more than just a school. It's a place where everyone has a 
meaningful voice and is fully valued for who they are, where creativity 
and self-discovery are nurtured, and where learners thrive. 
It's been a life-changing place for so many families and young people. 
Wildwood is committed to accessibility and utilizes a sliding scale tuition 
structure so anyone who needs this type of program can access it.

 helping recover and restore the magic that makes Wildwood a special 
place for so many children and families.
