Join us in sustaining this unique celebration of the arts, a tradition that brings our community together, drives our local economy and keeps Santa Barbara's creative spirit thriving!   Solstice is more than just a parade.  It's community, connection, creativity and more!

The two-month Workshop is one of the few places in the world that teaches Celebration Arts.  People from all walks of life come together to create this amazing people-powered Parade with its spectacular floats, giant puppets, and dazzling costumes.  There are no words, no signs, no symbols, and no motorized vehicles.  It's pure people powered creativity!

As a member, you will receive some special Solstice "intangibles" -- connection, community,  knowing you are part of building a stronger foundation for art and culture in our world.  In addition, you will receive Parade and Workshop Registrations based upon the level of your membership.   

By becoming a member, you are also paying it forward to others who might not otherwise be able to participate. As a member you are supporting the Workshop and the expertise of our staff of artists who mentor the public in celebration arts and production of a huge parade and festival.  

Your contribution will support

• hands-on community participation in the arts, encourage creativity, skill-building, performance arts, music, dance

• collaboration, cross-pollination of arts groups

• the Legacy Project,  documentation, plus succession planning, apprenticeship programs

• Junior Artist Program, the underserved talented youth in our community

• activities for seniors, youth, year round engagement in more than 100 local community organizations

• the infrastructure and hard work that go into making this amazing community celebration.
