A lot of time, money, and resources are going into setting up the church, and we can't do it without the help of our community. Legal fees were one of our first expenses to start adding up due to the nature of our practice, and we anticipate it being an ongoing expense for a while. Our amazing legal team has helped us navigate the process of filing a petition for religious exemption with the DEA, extensive amounts of research and preparation, attending our interviews with the DEA agents, and communicating with the agents throughout the process. The legal team continues to provide guidance on the foundational set up of the church, protection of our members with their rights and safety, and so much more. We are so grateful to have such an amazing legal team.
