This future is at stake. The funding we need to achieve the adventurous programming and artistic excellence that audiences expect has not returned to pre-pandemic levels, yet expenses have increased. Ticket sales cover only a small fraction of concert expenses. We rely on the generosity of donors to make such concerts possible. A few of those donors have made early commitments and will match your donations up to $15,000. About Opus 7 Vocal Ensemble

Founded in 1992, Opus 7 Vocal Ensemble has been a beacon of artistic excellence, musical diversity, and cultural enrichment in the Puget Sound for 32 years! Our ensemble of passionate and talented vocalists presents a diverse repertoire from classical masterpieces to contemporary masterworks. We are proud to once again be a Finalist for the American Prize in Choral Performance this year.

Why We Need Your Continued Support

As a non-profit, Opus 7 relies on your generosity to sustain us. Your support benefits:

• Concert Productions: Ensuring our performances match or exceed the quality of prior seasons. Expenses range from venue rentals to our guest performers, instrumentalists, orchestras and accompanists, sheet music, marketing material, and concert programs. Over 90% of our budget is designated for concert production.
• CD Production: Producing CDs allows us to share our performances with a wider audience and preserve our work for posterity.
• Educational Outreach: Bringing the joy of choral music to schools and communities inspires the next generation of musicians through our annual Robert Scandrett Memorial Student Choral Composition Awards Program.
• Commissioning New Works: Supporting the creation of new choral compositions expands the choral repertoire for future generations.
• Operational Costs: Covering essential expenses that keep our organization running smoothly. We are an almost entirely volunteer-run organization—one of the few in the Puget Sound without support staff, which we desperately need to continue our mission and expand programs. With substantial new donations, we would consider hiring part-time support personnel.
