The Georgia Water Polo League (GWPL) is a non-profit organization founded in 2024 with the mission of promoting a safe and competitive arena for youth athletes in Atlanta and beyond! We have lofty goals to grow the sport of water polo in the state of Georgia, starting in the metro-Atlanta area. We offer programs for athletes of all ages, including Splashball for young athletes up to 10 years of age and a competitive season for athletes 11-18 years old. For this inaugural year, the GWPL is depending heavily on tax-deductible donations from our supporters.

Water polo is a fast growing sport, with dominance in the state of California and in European countries. It is similar to basketball, soccer and lacrosse -- but in the water! It's a physically strenuous sport, and offers unique challenges to athletes that build strength, character and sportsmanship. This year, Flavor Flav, the American rapper, signed a 5 year sponsorship deal with the USA Water Polo Women's and Men's National Teams in advance of the Olympic games later this summer. The GWPL is the only USAWP-affiliated league in the state. USAWP is the official National Governing Body for the sport. The GWPL has a fundraising goal of $20,000! By making a tax-deductible donation, you would not only be supporting the growth and development of our young athletes but also gaining exposure and recognition within our local community. Help us reach our goal by contributing by 8/31/2024!

• Providing essential equipment and gear for our players such as water polo balls, competition caps, goals, etc.
• Offsetting facility rental costs for practice and competition
• Offering scholarships or financial assistance to students in need
