Found Sound Nation has spent over a decade building a global community of artists who use music to create social change. As we approach our 10th anniversary as an independent nonprofit, we find ourselves at a critical crossroads. Due to severe federal funding cuts, we find ourselves in a challenging financial position—jeopardizing the future of our programs, artist support initiatives, and our ability to continue this essential work.

This is not just about us. It’s about the 600+ global artists in our network who are using music to empower communities—from building schools and cultural centers in Pakistan and Zimbabwe to preserving endangered vocal traditions in Croatia and advancing youth and women’s empowerment across the Americas. These artists are changemakers, and FSN has been a backbone of support for their work.

We’ve made progress in our campaign, but we urgently need your help. We’ve set a $20,000 goal to sustain our programs, expand our artist network, and launch new initiatives like a transformative NYC residency program. If FSN has impacted you—whether as an alum or supporter—your contribution, no matter the amount, can make a real difference. New York City Residency Program

For a decade, we’ve witnessed the sweeping impact our residency programs have worldwide. Now we’d like to bring our transformative residency model back to where it all began—New York City. This program will unite musical leaders from across NYC’s five boroughs to create projects that make a lasting impact.
