FUND OUR TEACHER WISH LISTS AND STUDENT FIELD TRIPS CAMPAIGN

Why is this fundraiser needed:   The PTO is an organization that supports our teachers and students.  Two ways that PTO does this is by being able to help teachers purchase items for their classrooms as well as fund student field trips.   It is very common that teachers have to spend their own resources for classroom supplies. The PTO’s goal is to support Roland-Story teachers by providing financial resources to purchases needed classroom items.    Funding also allows our administrators to think of bigger projects/needs such as new playground equipment, chairs for our middle school gymnasium for concerts, larger instruments for our middle school band department, storage solutions in the buildings, and a variety of other equipment and supplies.   
 
 In addition, at Roland-Story Elementary and Middle School every student gets to attend a field trip during the academic school year.   Field trips provide students with an opportunity to learn about new ideas, a chance to explore our outdoors, find interest in STEM activities, attend a fun sporting event and filed trips may pique their interest in a new hobby or field of study as they continue through their education.

How are teacher wish lists and student field trips funded:   The PTO is just one source for funding of the teacher wish lists and student field trips.   Every academic year the PTO sets a budget from our fundraising to put towards these supplies and field trips.   Each month, teachers and administrators have an opportunity to submit a request for supplies needed for their classroom, building or upcoming field trip.  In 2022 – 2023 over $25,000+ was provided to teachers and schools for new classroom supplies and field trip expenses.

What is our GOAL for this fall: Our new fall fundraising campaign is at a grassroots level.    The PTO’s goal is to make sure that donations received through our fundraisers remain within our PTO & Schools.

How can we reach this goal:   We ask that you share our email messages and payment link with your friends, families, co-workers, and neighbors to donate to the fall campaign.    You are in control of who you share the message with; no outside company asking for your personal emails or text.   Suggested but not required amount per student is $85.

Last year our fall fundraiser brought in over $25,000; help us reach that again this year!
