Working at Washington State Penitentiary for over a year now has taught me so much about how we really lean into caring for others. Justice Impacted Individuals are given very little upon release to restart their lives. It is very difficult to head the right direction when you are not given tools and support. I am thrilled to amplify the voice of The STAR Project and the incredible work they do for this very vulnerable population. 

Your donation supports The STAR Project in our mission to provide a “wrap-around” services approach as we work with community partners locally and throughout the state to meet the complex needs of justice-involved individuals and their families. 

The STAR Project facilitates the smooth integration of formerly incarcerated individuals into their communities by offering mental health support, housing assistance, job placement resources, mentorship programs, and family reunification help. 

Additionally, STAR also provides positive community engagement opportunities through volunteer events where our program participants offer their time, talents, and hard work in service of the community at large.
