Subject: Urgent Appeal for Assistance: Little Creations Academy's Heater Replacement

Dear Partner,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to you on behalf of Little Creations Academy, a non-profit organization that provides affordable child care services, catering to children from infants to age 5, and after-school programming. Our center specifically serves the income-challenged community on the greater east side of Iowa City.

Little Creations Academy not only provides childcare services, but offers various support programs for our staff, parents, and members of the community. Among the services we offer are English as a Second Language training, U.S. naturalization exam preparation, rides to voting stations, food reservoir, and assistance in accessing helpful resources in Johnson County.  We have come to be a significant lifeline to our families and staff members in many ways. 

Unfortunately, we have encountered a significant setback that may preclude these important services to our most vulnerable population. After 60 years, the building’s primary boiler system has recently stopped working and urgently needs to be replaced. This heating failure has resulted in areas of our building becoming extremely cold, a critical issue considering the approaching winter weather. 

We must take immediate action and have initiated an Emergency Boiler Replacement Campaign to raise the $52,000 necessary to replace the boiler system. These funds are critical to ensure our programs continue, our children are warm, and that no further damage occurs because of the cold weather.
