Dear Supporters of the Arts and Entertainment Community,
Behind great performances, vibrant productions, and captivating stories brought to life in the entertainment industry lies a harsh reality that often remains unseen — the toll it often takes on the mental and emotional wellbeing of those who dedicate their lives to their craft. What’s worse, there’s a profound lack of accessible resources at industry workplaces or outside them, and the impacts are costing people their health, their time, their creativity, and even their lives.
Enter Wellbeing in Entertainment and Creative Arts (WECA) — we are a 501(c)3 nonprofit catalyst toward a future where health, safety, resilience, and thriving are industry norms. WECA’s mission is to ensure the entertainment industry is guided by trauma-informed principles, by which the health, safety, and wellbeing of artists and entertainment workers are prioritized throughout the entire creative process. WECA is committed to decreasing mental health stigma, increasing access to supportive tools and resources, and establishing baseline standards for wellbeing-certified productions.
Our 2025 vision for WECA includes:
Your Donation's Impact
$100 enables us to provide personalized wellbeing toolkits to 10 productions
$250 enables us to host a live process group
$500 supports wellbeing fundamentals training for 10 production crew & talent
$1500 ensures a small-to-medium-sized crew can receive personalized suicide prevention training and ongoing support
$5000 ensures one production can receive a trauma-informed assessment and recommendation plan
