Hello! My name is Glitter Rose and I am fundraising for our 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Born Strong Martial Arts! As part of the Born Strong Foundation, our martial arts program is committed to strengthening the community, providing affordable martial arts educational programming, focusing on underprivileged and low-income families. Our students will train for practical self defense with our Krav Maga forward curriculum, while instilling a strong martial arts foundation with the addition of Taekwondo, Muay Thai Kickboxing and Grappling. 

My husband, Mikey Jaramillo, our dear friend, 1st Degree Black Belt Neb Ermias, and I joined forces to combine our expertise in business management, teaching, and martial arts skill set, to provide our community with what we feel is an essential tool for those whom are at risk or do not have access to martial arts or self defense training, which is often costly. 

Our commitment to fostering violence prevention, leadership and anti-bullying, and empowerment through self defense will help build a safer and stronger community. Our Vision is to reduce violence in Dallas County, and foster more community unity through the study of martial arts, which offers a safe environment teaching self control, respect and boosting confidence. 

Our mission is to provide low rates for our programs, as well as financial assistance to families in need. Students will never pay for uniforms or gear. We aim to provide all the necessary equipment to our students through donations, fundraising, and grants. We work with Dallas Park and Recreation and other local organizations to provide our programming to the community at accessible facilities. We currently offer programming at Samuell Grand Recreation Center and Harry Stone Recreation Center in East Dallas.

We are fundraising through this platform to provide uniforms to our students, help with operational costs and provide more scholarships to qualifying families. Every cent that is donated through this campaign will benefit a child in the East Dallas community!
