At KMRE, we also believe news should be accessible to everyone—no paywalls, no barriers, just quality journalism for our community. Our radio signal and website keep Whatcom County informed. We are powered by our community—by your voices, your stories, and your support.

Right now, independent media is under attack. The push to defund public radio is an effort to weaken community voices and strengthen corporate control over information. But we won’t let that happen. Not here. Not now.
