A Unique Opportunity: Securing Our Future

Cultivate Care Farms (CCF) has a rare chance to acquire our current location, the historic Sawyer property in Bolton, Massachusetts. Our current lease gives us the first right of refusal, and we must act swiftly to secure this site by fall of 2024. This acquisition is vital to establishing a permanent home and meeting the high demand for our Farm-Based Therapy (FBT) model, which currently has a waitlist of over 55 individuals.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower clients and the community in realizing their mental health goals through Farm-Based Therapy, wellness programming, and community outreach.

Our Impact

• 9 full-time salaried clinicians, 3 fee-for-service clinicians, and 20 volunteers

• Serving 180 clients weekly from 56 towns in 5 counties

• 370 clients treated in 2023 with diagnoses including:

The Sawyer Property: A Historic and Therapeutic Haven

Acquiring and renovating the Sawyer property will allow us to offer the security of a permanent home to our clients, staff and beloved animals, expand our services, preserve a vital piece of local history, and transform it into a hub of healing and growth.

Project Goals

1. Immediate Property Acquisition: Secure the property by the end of September 2024.

2. Restoration and Compliance: Update the property to meet modern codes and work towards compliance with ADA, while preserving the Farm's historical essence.

3. Expansion of Clinical Space: Increase our service capacity by over 30% by the end of 2027.

4. Enhanced Service Capacity: Reduce wait times and increase our therapeutic impact.

5. Community Engagement and Outreach: Strengthen our ties with the local community and increase awareness of our services.

Budget and Funding Needs

Due to the unexpectedness of this opportunity, exact costs are still being developed. While we await the final renovation costs, we know that certain financial needs are essential for our progress:

• Property Purchase: $200,000 needed to secure the property.

• Barn Renovation: $250,000 estimated for essential renovations.

• Phase 1 Total: $450,000
