PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America. PGA HOPE introduces golf to Veterans and Active Duty Military to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.

The program introduces the game of golf through a developmental 6-8 week curriculum, taught by PGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency. All programs are funded by PGA REACH and supplemented by PGA Section Foundations, so the cost of programming is free to all Veterans.

The Operation: Hero Challenge is an event created with a goal of raising money to support our PGA HOPE programs in Michigan and foster new locations as we continue expanding our effort of growing the game of golf and serving our Veteran population. Two PGA HOPE Graduates will team up to compete in a 2-man best ball scramble along with a skills competition during the round that features the three fundamental skills utilized in golf: driving, chipping, and putting. 

In an effort to support our program, each team of PGA HOPE Graduates will aim to receive pledges for their team and reach their goal of $1,000. All funds raised from this event will be in contribution to directly support PGA HOPE efforts in Michigan in 2025, including session facility and instructor expenses, program training equipment, post-programming activities for graduates, branding materials for PGA HOPE program locations, and more.
