Thank you for taking the time to consider supporting to the Gordon family! The KENNA Foundation is partnering with Joey and Chris Gordon to raise funds to complete the necessary home repairs following a water leak that has not only left their home in disarray, but is seriously impacting the health of their special needs daughter, Autumn, and several animals. Register for the Virtual Ride With Autumn to partner along with us to help this family.
Autumn is a 12y/o diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome which impacts her daily life. She is immunocompromised and suffers from several seizures on a daily basis. Approximately 6 weeks ago, Joey and Chris noticed Autumn's health severely declining and an increase in her seizure activity. In addition, several of the exotic animals Chris rescues suddenly became ill and died.
An inspection of the home revealed a water leak, and after removing the sheetrock and ceiling in their basement bathroom revealed an extensive mold issue causing black mold spores to permeate the air throughout their home. A mold inspection, unfortunately revealed more concerning issues which has caused the cost of mitigation and repairs to skyrocket. Their insurance company will cover a portion of the cost. However, a large portion is not covered by insurance to include the cost to relocate during the mitigation and repairs, as well as the cleaning of household contents.
The KENNA Foundation's P.A.C.K.S. Grant program provides holistic services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families regardless of financial resources. However, we need your HELP to raise the funds necessary to restore the Gordon Family home back to pre-mold condition, restoring their peace of mind, and Autumn's health.
No family should have to worry about the condition of their home killing their child. Join us as we ride in honor of Autumn throughout the month of July. Unable to ride, please consider a tax deductible donation to Project Gordon. 100% of donations will go to cover the costs of home repairs and are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
