We have EXCITING news here at World Tails!😁🐾😻
We are heading to Israel to conduct a TNR program (trap-neuter-release) for feral cats in conjunciton with The Jerusalem Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals(JSPCA).🇮🇱
The JSPCA estimates that there are around 200,000 street cats in the city of Jerusalem. The warm Israeli climate means a female cat may have up to three litters a year! Overpopulation causes an increase in diseases, scarce food resources and nuisance complaints within the community. Spaying and neutering can help to combat the problem of overpopulation and we see it as a vital part of the animal welfare sphere.
Our plan is to conduct approximately 50 surgeries per day for a seven day period of time. Hopefully we can reach a goal of 350 cats sterilized during that time! Each surgery costs 150 Israeli shekels (approximately $43 USD) so your donations and support are vital! Every penny raised will go towards supporting our project.
