11:11 - SAY TACOCAT! "May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears." – Nelson Mandela We all want to believe we'd make certain choices……and then there’s reality. Every school break, families face a looming crossroads: keep their kids in school or send them to work. Too often, the financial strain forces them to choose fear over hope. Make Our Day’s leadership scholarship is here to tip the scales in favor of hope.  We’ve done that over the past few years in such a way that we have more than hope now, we have proof. It’s no accident that our biggest fundraiser of the year falls on my birthday (the end of February) because March is decision time. Hope or fear. Both are contagious. If you put yourself in our families’ shoes, you know the decision you would WANT to make for your children.  It would Make My Birthday if you would help them tip the scales towards hope. School tuition is $30 a month / $360 a year.  All money raised during my birthday will be given out as scholarship money for the 2025 / 2026 school year. WE CAN DO THIS! Every year we add onto our list of adjectives and it's getting quite long now but it's the truth. As they get older, we BOTH have to do more to make sure they are leading the way for the next generation of women in their community. When they see me working so hard to arrange activities, trainings, classes, and scholarships for them, they say "Teacha you are trying very good!" I say, if you are trying, I am trying. If you want a different life, I want to help you get it.  Not because I want it for you, but because you want it for you....and since there is no blueprint here, we BOTH have to work harder to make it happen. Your donation is a huge part of convincing families to allow students to pursue school, vocational jobs, IDs, and safe work.  Money talks.  Worldwide.   Sometimes when I talk to my girls about money and the donations we have available they say WOW Teacha your friends are so rich......and I say, no they are not necessarily rich, but they are generous.  Let's talk about the difference.
