Welcome to the Registration Portal for Climb Smart 2024, now in it's 29th year! 

Climb Smart is a 3-day event, running all day Friday through Sunday on a special weekend in the Fall each year. The event is owned and operated by the non-profit 501 c(3) Friends Of Joshua Tree, and is one of its most important events of the year. 

JUST ADDED - LYNN HILL and HANS FLORINE as GUEST PRO ATHLETES FOR CLIMB SMART 2024! 

Special mini-clinics run by working guides at Joshua Tree National Park offer introduction and refresher content in 2 session tracks daily, as well as managed toprope climbing for those who simply want to climb on JTree's quartz monzonite stone. Each evening a catered dinner is provided and entertainment, inspiration and education are delivered in multimedia format. We always have great brand sponsors (Black Diamond, Fixe/Roca, Nomad Ventures, Patagonia, REI and others) and local and regional retailers as well as giveaways and drawings. The attendee of Climb Smart will leave more experienced, better networked, psyched for climbing and likely with some swag items too.

One of the unique offerings at Climb Smart is working with professional climbing guides in mini-clinic format, facilitating interaction with different organizational staff and styles. In the end, all of the guide organizations invited to participate in Climb Smart are top shelf, longstanding professional outfits permitted by the Park and have strong reputations in the climbing community.

No Camp Climb Smart Ticket

This is a full-event Climb Smart access ticket but doesn't include camping in the Park. The city of Twentynine Palms is very nearby and has a variety of lodging options for those coming in after the camping is full, or simply would rather not camp in the high desert in December, which can be cold. www.visit29.org
