Travel back in time with us as we explore the historic Vest homestead. In 1906, Dr. Vest relocated his family from Denmark to the thriving town of Sumas. To accommodate the growing needs of the community, he began treating patients in his basement while also making regular house calls. His patient list was extensive, and the range of ailments seemed endless. As Dr. Vest began to deviate from traditional medical practices, his moral compass started to waver. Many unsuspecting patients arrived at the Vest home seeking treatment, but only a handful managed to leave. The house has since been abandoned by several families who believed they had found their perfect home, only to flee in the dead of night, leaving their belongings behind. More than a century later, locals report hearing distant screams and claim to see Dr. Vest watching from the windows, ensuring that no one enters or exits.
Join us for a tour of the Vest family home, uncover the chilling mysteries of the basement, and perhaps, if you’re lucky, catch a glimpse of Dr. Vest himself.
