Automata’s TAPETAIL series is excited to welcome Eric Lennartson, a Los Angeles based Oscilloscope Artist, Composer, and Improviser for a program of his recent composition ./lissa. The audience is invited to this one of a kind presentation where they will get front row seats to each of the 4 Oscilloscopes in the space. Seating is limited to be sure to reserve your tickets. 

The piece is a meditative journey filled with dense noise, pulsating tones, and mesmerizing visuals. Over the course of 45 minutes, the extremes of the medium are pushed to their absolute limits.

Oscilloscope music is a unique form of audiovisual art that exploits the duality of electronic music’s most basic element, the volt. ./lissa investigates this nature, existing in the space between music and visual art. The album oscillates between the two; Sometimes it is a purely sonic experience, other times it is primarily a visual one. Neither can exist without the other.

./lissa is Eric Lennartson’s first full length album of oscilloscope music & art.
