Your commitment ensures we can continue to provide a space for all to gain mindfulness, balance and learn ways to find peace in their lives. As a member of our Sangha, we value your presence and your voice. Please feel free to contact Gendo at dgz@dharmagatezen.org with any membership questions you may have.  Your supporting membership provides you with the following opportunities to learn and practice:<ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Sunday services: each Sunday at 10:00 including meditation, Dharma instruction, a Q&A period and a chance to gather with fellow Sangha members. </li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Weekday meditations: 30 minute sittings, with guided and silent meditation and a chance to discuss your practice.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Buddhist holiday services: We celebrate Buddha’s Birthday, Obon and Awakening Sitting each year.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Opportunity to take precepts: Every year (typically at Buddha’s birthday) our members can take the five basic lay-follower precepts to help guide your practice.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Introduction to Zen, Meditation and other focused classes throughout the year (some class require additional costs for materials).</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Dharma discussion groups: to further discuss topics on how we follow this way in our lives.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Meditative Creative: throughout the year we provide the opportunity to bring creative practices into our lives, like Shodo, working with clay, mala making, poetry and more. </li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Homonji Iaido classes: a chance to study Japanese Sword Arts in a traditional setting.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Retreats / mini-retreats: we offer weekend zen focused retreats and Friday night “min-retreats” throughout the year.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Shinrin Yoku: our version of weekly “forest bathing” our Sangha walks in a nature center each Saturday morning (weather permitting)</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Individual guidance from Hoden Sunim and our Dharma Teachers: our clergy is available to help you build an individual practice, answer questions or provide counsel. </li></ul>Again, from all of us, welcome to the Dharma Gate Sangha!
