Become a Volunteer @ The Table
Each Thursday at The Table we host a free community dinner. Every week about 60 people join us for a delicious meal. Trust relationships are built around tables as we listen to live music and enjoy home cooked dinners. Through that trust people have moved from addiction to sobriety, from unhoused to sheltered, from lonely to cared for, from ignored to listened to, and so much more!

Bake desserts
Free
Do you like to bake? Do you have some extra time during the week that you could bake cookies, brownies or cupcakes at your house? This is the team for you!

Dinner cook
Free
Do you like to cook? You can prepare one of the menu items for the Thursday dinners. (See the current menu at https://thetableflorida.org/dinners).
You will be provided the recipe, ingredients and pans for one part of the meal. Then you will deliver it to the Goldenrod Civic Club location on Thursday between 5:00-5:30 PM.

Setup - Clean up crew

Every Thursday we need to set up tables and chairs, sanitize the room and prep for dinner and music. At the end of the night we need to put the room back in order with clean and mopped floors.

Music
Free
Live music is part of the experience at The Table! Do you play an instrument, sing or both? The music time starts about 5:45 PM and lasts about 40 minutes.

Resource assistant
Free
The Table offers tangible resources to people that come to the Thursday night community dinner. Would you be able to help with one or both of the following?
(1) Greet people and provide them items at the Resource Table. Examples: clothing, toiletries, blankets, flashlights, etc.
(2) Help sort donated items to have them ready to give away on a Thursday.

Serve dinner
Free
Do you like to talk with people (or even better listen)? Join the serving team and spend part of your time serving dinner and the other part enjoying your meal around the table with friends you will meet.
