The Sino-Judaic Institutewelcomes new members and works with continuing members from around the world to help strengthen the relationship between the Chinese and the Jewish people. Members are the backbone of SJI, contributing ideas, doing outreach, and taking action on behalf of the Institute's overall mission. Donations to the Funds below help SJI in immeasurable ways achieve our goals.
The Arthur H. Rosen Sino-Judaic Memorial Fund, named in honor of SJI's first Chairman, dedicated Board member and former President of the National Committee on US-China Relations, provides grants for academic and creative projects related to the Jewish experience in China, supports opportunities for Chinese students and scholars to participate in conferences and do academic research, funds the translation of relevant Judaic-related texts and educational material into Chinese, and supports the development and strengthening of Judaic Studies programs in China.
The Shanghai Memories Fund
The Shanghai Memories Fund supports SJI's efforts to interview and preserve the stories of Jewish refugees who lived in Shanghai, Tianjin, Harbin and elsewhere in the 20th century.
The Denise Yeh Bresler Kaifeng Scholarship Fund
Donations of any size are appreciated and all donations are U.S. tax-deductible.
All members of SJI receive a year-long subscription (3 issues) to Points East. Donors at the Patron level or higher receive their choice of a Sino-Judaic book as well a disc of all back issues of Points East.
