Sparked by the long history of oppression and occupation against Palestinians and continuous loss of civilian lives to unjust violence in Israel and Palestine that exploded on October 7th, 2023, Harmonies of Humanity is a human rights initiative created to underscore our shared humanity in order to achieve liberation for all humans everywhere. While bringing awareness of populations that have been deprived of their human rights, we believe it is important to recognize our common roots in humanity to start conversations that lead to mutual understanding. Looking back centuries in history, the evolution of cultures “as a result of migration and coexistence“ shows that we have more in common than not; sharing cultural artifacts such as music, food, storytelling, and art. By creating an open space where we acknowledge the past and current struggles of minorities, we uplift roots and cultures, celebrating resilience and reaffirming the possibilities of justice, peace, and love. There is no such thing as a lesser person, and despite differences in opinion, we should always fight for freedom and equal rights for all.
