Business Sponsorship Opportunities
The Good Hope Poppy Festival is a family, fun-filled day held to support our veterans and to commemorate a famous Good Hope resident - the late Moina Michael - “The Poppy Lady.” During her teaching career, which included teaching disabled veterans, she began to realize the financial support they needed. As a result, she committed herself to raise funds by selling artificial poppies. Her endeavor became so popular that the American Legion adopted the poppy as its symbol and honored Moina Michael with its highest award. Today, her tradition continues through many individuals, organizations, and festivals - one of which is the Good Hope Poppy Festival.
