Colorectal cancer is one of the top three most common cancers in the U.S. and the world. Removing polyps through a colonoscopy can prevent colorectal cancer. The USPSTF currently recommends that people at average risk should start colorectal cancer screening at age 45. However, the diagnosis of colorectal cancer in young adults (20-50 years old) with no family history are on the rise, so it is important to learn the common warning signs of colorectal cancer, including no symptom at all.

Colon Cancer Stars’ vision is for zero colorectal cancer deaths in Washington state and beyond. Our mission is to save lives through awareness, education, encouraging the use of screening methods, and providing support to those in treatment or recovery. We need your support, and your sponsorship will go a long way to support our volunteer run organization.
