The Youth Empowerment Summit (YES) Camp is organized to address the lack of civic engagement and civic leadership among youths and young adults in Asian American organizations across Houston.

The Y.E.S. Camp is a transformative, 3-day camp that empowers our next generation of leaders in the Greater Houston area. Through collaborative workshops, inspiring talks, and civic engagement training, it equips the next generation to become active participants and leaders in their communities.

The Y.E.S. Summit prepares young leaders through these 3 pillars:

  1. Community Building & Inspiring Change

• Build strong, enduring connections among young leaders across the Greater Houston Area
• Act as catalysts for positive change

  2. Leadership Development

• Develop essential leadership skills like critical thinking and public speaking.
• Enhance participants’ ability to lead effectively within their communities.

• Embrace the GRACE model, creating a positive foundation for all actions.
• Identify and understand personal strengths and weaknesses, leading to a deeper self-awareness.

• Date: Friday, August 9 @ 7pm to Sunday, August 11 @3pm.

• Participate: Send 6-10 dedicated members from your group to the summit, completely free of charge
• Designate: Appoint a committed leader to coordinate with the YES Summit team and ensure active participation
• Engage: Stay involved throughout the campaign, participating in all scheduled activities and initiatives.
• Reward: Receive a $1,000 stipend for your organization as a thank you for committing to these action items and contributing to our collective impact.

• Designate A Group Leader For Your Youth Organization: This group leader will act as a point of contact between your organization and the Y.E.S. Summit Team
