For the last day of the installation, Nov 27, 2022, The Del Deo Foundation for the Arts, in cooperation with the European Cultural Centre, will present a special finissage event at the Palazzo Mora.
In his monumental bronze sculpture, The Tree of Life Which Is Ours, a collateral installation of the Venice Art Biennial 2022 in the Giardini Marinaressa,, Romolo Del Deo was inspired by the music of elegiac contemporary composer, Ezio Bosso’s work, The Tree’s Sacrifice.
Del Deo would like to “pay forward” his gratitude by inviting some of Bosso’s closest collaborators, the Quartetto D’Archi di Torino to share with the people of Venice and the Biennale, an hour-long program of Bosso’s string quartets.
“The Tree of Life Which Is Ours” is a sculpture that draws upon climate science and classical myth to show how humanity’s fate is entwined with that of trees, connecting us all.
