Join us Saturday June 1st for the 2024 PA Workshop! Your instructor will be 

Adam Smestad -  a writer, director, producer, script supervisor, assistant director, and

production assistant based out of Boulder, CO. He began working in the film industry in 2018,

and eventually left a career in the law to pursue his dream of working in film and

entertainment. He has worked on more than 50 sets, which include film, television and

commercial projects. Adam began his career as a production assistant in Chicago and has

experience working in the production office, in the art department, camera department, sound,

G&E, crafty/catering, and is excited to share his experiences and advice to those looking to

break into the industry.

The PA Workshop is designed for novice production assistants and those looking to break into

the industry, as well as more experienced PAs looking to bone up on their skills. Adam will go

through the basics of the responsibilities of a PA, the qualities that make you stand out as a PA

(and get you rehired), and tips he’s learned from his time working on set.

The event will be held in the Arapahoe Room on the 2nd floor of the Boulder Main Library branch.
