Out of the many psychedelic societies serving the public, SPS has one of the most robust offerings of weekly integration circles (over 250 to date), events, workshops, monthly educational meetings, public safety announcements, and other valuable services. There is a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes to make this happen and we need funding to continue this important work. Psychedelic medicines have the potential to save lives, but they must be approached with proper guidance, education, and support.

We also invite you to consider sponsoring this significant event. Your support will not only help us cover operational expenses, but will also contribute to the expansion of our programs and initiatives. Sponsorship tiers and info coming soon.

We appreciate your support beyond words! Sierra Psychedelic Society is a 501(c) nonprofit, and all donations are tax-deductible.

PLEASE NOTE:  ZEFFY POPULATES AN OPTIONAL 17% DONATION FOR THEIR PLATFORM TO YOUR PURCHASE. YOU CAN SELECT "OTHER" IN THE DROPDOWN MENU AND INPUT "0" TO AVOID A FEE ON YOUR TICKET OR SPONSORSHIP CHARGE.

*Bicycle Day commemorates the first LSD trip, which took place on April 19, 1943, when Albert Hoffman ingested an unintentionally large dose of LSD and proceeded to bicycle home from his chemistry lab in Basel, Switzerland. This pivotal moment ushered in nearly three decades of research on the benefit of psychedelics to treat mental health and addiction, prior to the implementation of the Controlled Substance Act of 1970.

Meet Our Awardees:

RANDY GATES, Breath of Fire
Healing Loudly Award

Sierra Psychedelic Society is honored to present this year’s Healing Loudly Award to Randy Gates, a dedicated firefighter and breathwork facilitator whose work has profoundly impacted our community. As a first responder, Randy has witnessed firsthand the toll that trauma, stress, and high-intensity environments take on mental and physical well-being. Through his Breath of Fire sessions, he has created a transformative space for deep healing, resilience, and self-discovery, guiding individuals through powerful breathwork techniques that help regulate the nervous system, release stored trauma, and foster emotional balance. His unwavering commitment to guiding others through breathwork embodies the spirit of healing loudly—empowering individuals to reclaim their well-being and connect more fully with themselves. We are grateful for his service, both as a first responder and as a healer, and we celebrate his invaluable contributions to our community and the transformative power of his work. Learn more about Randy here.

BRYAN LANG, CEO Trans World Health Services, Inc.
Community Advocate Award

Sierra Psychedelic Society is proud to present this year’s Community Advocate Award to Bryan Lang, a dedicated leader in psychedelic education and risk management. As CEO of Trans World Health Services, Inc., an international healthcare consultancy and IT firm, Bryan has worked with over 400 organizations across five continents to improve medical and psychiatric performance, risk management, and healthcare quality. Bryan is a named author of Denver’s Comprehensive Report on Psilocybin, the ground-breaking assessment of the non-impact of the Denver decriminalization initiative one year after its passage. Bryan has provided key testimony to the Nevada legislature, in addition to providing subject matter expertise to the Nevada Psychedelic Medicines Working Group. Bryan also led the development of co-developed the most comprehensive consumer training on psychedelics to date and has developed specialized training programs for law enforcement, emergency responders, and mental health professionals. His decades of harm reduction work at Burning Man and global festivals, along with his focus on AI and mental wellness, reflect his dedication to building healthier, more resilient communities. Additionally, Bryan is a founding editor and contributor to the Manual of Psychedelic Support, available for free download at Psychsitter.com or as a hard copy in the MAPS store. Since 2008, Bryan has served as a harm reduction leader and educator at large festivals in the US, Europe, Africa, and Australia. We are honored to recognize his advocacy and impact in advancing psychedelic education, policy, and public health.

Meet Our Keynote Speaker:

DOUG ERWIN
Community Advocate Awardee (2024)

Sierra Psychedelic Society is honored to welcome 2024 Community Advocate Awardee Doug Erwin as the keynote speaker for this year’s event. Among his many contributions to our community, Doug has amplified awareness of the therapeutic potential of psychedelic medicine through his podcast, “Growth Pioneers,” providing a platform for evidence-based discussions on healing, innovation, and mental well-being. He further pioneered this conversation at Reno Startup Week, spearheading and moderating the panel “Psychedelics and Entrepreneurship: Unlocking Potential and Well-Being.” There, he inspired an open dialogue on how these medicines can enhance creativity, resilience, and personal growth within the entrepreneurial community.

A respected leader in Northern Nevada, Doug has long been a champion for progress—whether through his advocacy for psychedelic medicine or his work as Senior Vice President of Entrepreneurial Development at EDAWN, where he cultivates growth in the region’s startup and technology ecosystem. His personal journey as a serial entrepreneur has given him firsthand insight into the complexities of leadership, mental health, and personal transformation. With a deep commitment to building a more informed and supportive community, Doug continues to inspire and advance critical conversations about mental wellness and the future of psychedelic medicine. We are honored to have him present for this year’s event and share his vision for healing and growth. Learn more about Doug here.
