M.E.M.O. (Medical, Educational Missions and Outreach) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, student-run, humanitarian organization that aims to serve under-resourced populations by addressing their medical and educational needs. Founded in 2007, we consist of passionate college students and health professionals. Every year, M.E.M.O. strives to plan and execute sustainable programs to improve the health and well-being of others. This July of 2025, select students from UCI, UCSD, USC, and UCLA will travel to Vietnam to participate in our international philanthropies and witness our impact.
Our work aims to provide medical care and educational opportunities to the under-resourced populations in Vietnam. By supplying them with fundamental health and educational needs, M.E.M.O. hopes to give them a foundation in which they can independently improve their current living conditions. We also spread awareness of the abject poverty seen in third-world countries to the younger generation in the U.S. to propagate the notion of social responsibility into a brighter future.
