SpanDNA, in partnership with the Edward A. Ulzen Memorial Foundation, presents spanDNA Families. We extend a heartfelt invitation to newly identified DNA cousins across the African Diaspora to take part in a gathering made possible through Ekua Mensah, Thaddeus Ulzen, Lena Tagoe, and Raphael Buckle's commercial DNA tests paired with spanDNA's Nyansapow service. The Transatlantic Genealogy Summit (TAGS): Portals of Possibilities is a unique gathering centered around the specific ancestral connections identified through these two Ghanaian couples and their DNA cousins found through spanDNA's research.
Begin by joining Transatlantic Genealogy pre-summit Family Tree DNA Project.
Join us at the LOLA in Atlanta, Georgia from 24 May to 25 May 2025 as we celebrate and explore our ancestral connections. Participants will delve deeper into genetic genealogy while engaging in therapeutic spaces, the arts, and healing movement. Meet your cousins, licensed Black Mental Health Professionals, Artists, Social Justice Community Builders, Intercultural Workshop Facilitators, Pilates Teachers, and Professional Genealogists.
Upon registration, those with matching DNA results will receive an invitation to participate in pre-reunion webinar(s). Registered cousins will play a pivotal role in reconnecting severed branches of our family trees--Ghanaian cousins providing a connection to Ghanaian family history and Diaspora cousins providing opportunities for Ghanaians to trace ancestors disconnected from families on the African continent.
Join us as we embark on a journey to discover the depths of our ancestry, explore connections, and draw on spiritual wisdom to navigate our shared history.
