***DEADLINE IS AUGUST 10, 2024*** ALL NAMES SUBMITTED MUST BE OF MARTINSBURG OR EASTERN PANHANDLE RESIDENTS ONLY.*** Commemorate Your Loved One with an "In Memory of" Sign The Hope Dealer Project is honored to announce that we have received approval from Mayor Kevin Knowles and the City Council of Martinsburg to affix "In Memory of" signs in downtown Martinsburg during National Recovery Month (September 1 - 30, 2024). This initiative aims to honor and remember those lost to an overdose death, and we invite you to commemorate your loved one through this meaningful tribute. The cost of the sign is $20, which will display the first and last name of your loved one. We have limited space to affix signs therefore we can only permit your loved one if they were Eastern Panhandle residents only. After National Recovery Month concludes, we will present you and your family with the sign. Pickup will be on October 1, 2024. Substance use disorder is a disease, and we are truly sorry for your loss. This initiative is our way of taking a moment to remember your loved one and acknowledge the impact of this devastating disease. To purchase an "In Memory of" sign, please submit the name of your loved one and make the payment of $20. Let's come together as a community to honor and remember those we have lost.
