Think your Hart 2 Heart pet is a supermodel? Is your photo folder filled with pet photos? Put it to a vote! Enter your pet’s photo in the 2024 Calendar Contest and help us pick the fan favorites and create a beautiful 2024 calendar! This 12-month wall calendar will be full of our Rescue pet photos and your entry helps support the animals of Hart 2 Heart Animal Rescue. Grab your camera and get ready to put your pet in the spotlight! Our 2024 Calendar Contest is open and we will be taking submissions until XXXX! The voting will begin on XXXXXX.

Space is limited, but ALL entries will be printed in the 2024 calendar. Only 12 animals will be chosen for the large monthly feature photos. The photo with the most votes will be featured on the cover!

Whether you enter your fur-baby’s photo or just vote for your favorite pet, your participation in our contest benefits the animals of the Hart 2 Heart Animal Rescue.

 HOW IT WORKS:

Your pet could be a monthly featured pet! Do you have a glamour girl or boy? Enter your favorite digital photo of your H2H pet for a chance to be featured in Hart 2 Heart Animal Rescue's 2024 photo calendar.

The $25 entry fee includes one calendar.  Photos in the calendar will be of various sizes, but no photo will be less than 1” x 1”. All eligible photos will be featured on the calendar's collage page. Additional copies of the calendar will be available in October for a $20 donation for pickup, or $22 donation for mailing. Fees for entering and voting support Hart 2 Heart's mission to save homeless animals.
 
Once your pet's photo is submitted, you will have an opportunity to help pick each month’s featured photos. Be sure to share the contest link with friends and family on social media and by email and encourage them to vote! Every dollar makes a difference in the lives of homeless animals - so we're encouraging everyone to vote early and vote often.

 RULES:

The contest is open to everyone. You can submit as many entries as you want, provided you pay the $25 entry fee for each photo. Photos may be taken from any place or time, but the subject must be an H2H animal. Other animals may be in the photo. Sorry, no humans allowed in the photo.

1.  Contest is open to any H2H alum, dog or cat.

2. The contest will begin taking photo submissions at 12:00:00 on XXXXX.

3. There is a $25 registration fee per submission, which is considered a tax-deductible donation to H2H.

4. All entries will be included on the collage page of the calendar, and will receive one free 2024 H2H calendar

5. For best online display, your image should clearly show your pet's face.

6. Limit of one entry per animal, unless you adopted a pair together. Entry photos that include two pets will share a month if they place among the top vote getters. Only submit one photo per pet (we will not select one for you). The same pet can only win once. Attempts to win two spots in the calendar by the same pet will not be permitted.

7. Submissions must include:

   • Name of your pet. Please name electronic files with your pet’s name and your last name, example: KittySmith.jpg

   • Former name while at H2H, if known

   • Adoption date, if known

   • Owner's name

   • Owner's e-mail address

   • A brief paragraph of something fun, interesting or special about your pet. This may be shared if your pet wins.

8. By submitting your photo, you attest that you own the copyright to the image and can submit it for contest purposes. By submitting, you acknowledge you give permission to Hart 2 Heart Animal Rescue to use the name, story, and image of your pet in future H2H marketing. All photos submitted become the property of H2H and are subject to editing to ensure the proper fit in the 2024 calendar.

9. Photos must be:

   • Digital photos only. All images must be submitted electronically (no prints). We cannot accept any copyrighted or professional photos.

   • Only submit photos of your pet (do not include people in your photo)

   • We will not accept professional photos, or stock photos… photos must be taken by YOU!

   • Photos must be submitted as a high resolution, 300 dpi, or jpeg file. Photos that do not meet these size and format requirements will NOT be considered for a large monthly feature photo but will still be included as a thumbnail somewhere in the calendar.

   • Photos must be IN FOCUS (not blurry) and landscape in orientation (aka horizontal or sideways).  Square or vertical images may be cropped to fit a horizontal calendar design.  This may substantially alter the photo and your photo may be excluded from voting if cropping causes the photo to no longer meet size and resolution requirements.

   • We cannot accept photos with digital overlays, photo stickers or doodles. Simple editing allowed (cropping, brightness, hue enhancements etc).

10. All animals must be depicted in a humane and dignified manner. Any photo that H2H deems inappropriate, or does not comply with the rules, will be removed from the contest with no opportunity for a refund. All decisions are final.

Photos that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win with no opportunity for a refund. ALL entries meeting the criteria listed above will be printed somewhere in the calendar. The winners of the 12 monthly features will be selected through online voting, or a consensus of H2H staff in the event of a  tie.

 Photos emailed without completion of the entry form will not be considered. All entries and fees must be received by 11:59 p.m. XXXXXXX, to be eligible for consideration.

Disclaimer: By submitting a photo, you agree to transfer to Hart 2 Heart Animal Rescue (H2H) all reprint rights to the photo without license, limitation, or compensation. All attempts will be made to credit the photographer but is not guaranteed. All submitted photos will be property of H2H, who may use the photo as deemed necessary. H2H is not responsible for any errors, loss or damage regarding the photographs/entries. All contestants agree to release and hold harmless H2H, all sponsors and representatives from all claims or actions, they, their heirs, executors or assigns may arise directly or indirectly from this contest. Winners consent to the use of their name for advertising and/or publicity purposes without compensation.

VOTING:

Once the submission period ends, the fun really begins. Ask your family, friends, and coworkers to vote for your pet’s photo.  Each $1.00 vote donation counts as one (1) vote. All votes are donations to Hart 2 Heart Animal Rescue and are fully tax-deductible as permitted by law. All voting donations are non-refundable. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.

The name of the game is to get as many votes as you can get! Send your cat or dog's link to your friends and family. (Via email or text!) Post your pet's link on social media. (Don't forget to tag us! Facebook: XXXX ; Instagram: XXXX. Help your pet win and H2H reach our fundraising goal. Once a photo is submitted, it will appear on H2H's calendar website, and be open to voting by the general public. You do not have to submit a photo in the contest in order to vote. The voting period is from 12:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on XXXXXX to 11:59:59 PM (Eastern Time) on XXXXXX.

Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Contest payments online are through a secure site. All winners will be determined by electronic vote tabulations and are final and binding.

PRIZES:

First Place will be awarded to the pet with the most votes, and the winning photo will appear on the calendar's cover. Not to mention the bragging rights of having the cutest pet!  The top 12 entries with the most votes will be our monthly features.

• 1st place-  photo will be featured on the cover page and you will be able to select which month you would like your photo to be featured. You will receive two additional copies of the printed calendar

• 2nd place - you will be able to select which month you would like your photo to be featured, out of the available months. You will receive one additional copy of the printed calendar.

• 3rd place - you will be able to select which month you would like your photo to be featured, out of the available months.

The subsequent months will be in order of votes received. In the event of a tie, H2H staff will break the tie and/or a month may feature two pets.

Proceeds from the sale of the calendar and photo contest will assist H2H with the more than 400 cats & dogs we care for every year. We encourage you to submit your favorite photo of your H2H pet and ask your family and friends to vote for them. Please review the Contest Rules carefully for submission guidelines; those that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win.  Fees for photo entries and votes will help the H2H pursue our mission of giving abandoned, unwanted, and abused animals a chance at a good life in their furever homes.
