Have you ever wondered about the proper procedures for washing and shrouding a body, or how the Janazah prayer is performed? Look no further, as Sh Sophiyan Sen will be instructing a workshop that will cover all of these topics and more. Co-sponsored by Cool Islam and ICCH.

Exam date and time: May 21st from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Attendees will receive the Inevitable Journey Booklet and have the opportunity to receive ijazah from Sh Sophiyan after passing the exam. This workshop is open to brothers and sisters ages 16 and up.

In addition, Sh Sophiyan will be giving a Friday night talk at ICCH on May 19th after Maghrib.

About the Instructor:  
Sophiyan Sen was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. At an early age, he developed a passion for seeking Islamic knowledge. He would spend his evenings attending classes taught by local scholars, such as Shaykh Abdulbary Yahya during his teenage years. After earning his high school diploma, Shaykh Sophiyan was immediately accepted into the prestigious Jaamiatul Islaamiyyah (Islamic University) located in Medina Al-Munowwarah. There, he was able to sit with profound scholars, most notably, Shaykh Ahmad Raashid and Shaykh Muhammad Al-Mukhtar Ash-Shiqitee. Upon returning back to the U.S. in 2015, he began his quest of Dawah in America. Shaykh Sophiyan has become an established individual not just in the pacific northwest, but has began to lecture throughout all of America. He served as an Imam of The Islamic Center of Olympia from 2013-2022 and is currently the Islamic Studies Supervisor for AbuBakr Academy Islamic School in Tukwila, Washington. He also serves as an Education Director at Cham Refugees Community (Masjid Jamiul Muslimeen) in Seattle, WA.
