Media Release: I give Released Parties permission to take and use photographs or recordings of Participant taken during an Activity and use and sublicense such material for any purpose in print, advertisements, films or videos and online and broadcast presentations of any sort.

Waiver: COVID-19 LIABILITY WAIVER and ASSUMPTION of RISK: While participating in 2023 events held or sponsored by the Gainesville-Hall County Black History Society, Inc., other co-sponsors, affiliates, partners, and volunteers and being on the premises, the below signed participant agrees as follows:
1. I am aware that the novel coronavirus (“COVID-19”) is an extremely contagious virus and that it is currently believed that COVID-19 spreads through person-to-person contact.
2. I am familiar with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) guidelines regarding COVID-19, which are located at https://www.coronovirus.gov and
http://www.cdc/gov/coronovirus/2019-ncov/index.html. I acknowledge and understand that the circumstances regarding COVID-19 are changing from day to day and that the CDC guidelines are regularly modified and updated. I accept full responsibility for familiarizing myself with the most recent updates, and making informed choices to take precautionary measures to protect myself and others,
3. In addition to the CDC guidelines, I agree to abide by all policies or postings published to the public at the facility.
4. By signing this agreement, I acknowledge that I am aware of the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at the facility and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at the 2023 events may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself or others.
5. I agree that, in the event that I suspect I became exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at the facility and I elect to seek testing and treatment as a result therefrom, I will be responsible for payment of any and all medical and testing services.
6. I voluntarily choose to assume all the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury, illness, permanent disability or death related to COVID-19 arising from or in connection with my presence at any events. I hereby release and hold harmless, Gainesville-Hall County Black History Society, Inc., co-sponsors, partners, representatives, affiliates, volunteers, and participants from and against all liabilities (statutory or otherwise) for claims, suits, demands, judgments, costs, interest and expense (including but not limited to attorney’s fees and disbursements) for injury, illness, permanent disability, or death related to COVID-19 arising from or in connection with my presence at the 2023 events, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE, ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF THE RELEASED PARTIES.
I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS AGREEMENT AND I AM AWARE THAT BY SIGNING BELOW I MAY BE WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE.

Liability: Participant’s Liability Agreement: All participants agree to indemnify, defend, release, and hold Gainesville-Hall County Black History Society, Inc., its officers, members, and sponsors of the event harmless from all claims, demands, complaints, charges, causes of actions contracts, promises, rights, liabilities or injuries, losses and/or damages sustained by participants, participant’s employees, or representatives.
All participants agree to indemnify and hold Gainesville-Hall /county Black History Society, Inc., its officers, members, representatives, and sponsors harmless from any third-party claims or causes of actions, arising from or in any way connected with the activities of the participants, or sale by the participants of its products and/or services to attendees during any events.
The Gainesville-Hall County Black History Society, Inc. and other co- sponsors of the event assume no liability with respect to any property of any kind placed upon the premises by the participants. Gainesville-Hall County Black History Society, Inc. and its co-sponsors are not insurers and shall not be liable for any theft, loss, or other casualty to any participants’s equipment, merchandise, or currency. Gainesville-Hall County Black History Society, Inc. and co-sponsors shall not be liable for any damages whatsoever resulting from participants. All participants are advised to obtain insurance coverage for their own protection.occupancy of the leased space including personal injury and property damage.
