We invite you to embark on a journey to protect Houston's wildlife: one tributary at a time. Bayou Preservation's Into the Wild celebrates the remarkable flora and fauna that grace our bayous and wetlands, showcasing the vital work we undertake to preserve these precious ecosystems.

This year, we're turning our focus to the unsung heroes of Houston's bayous: the tributaries and smaller waterways. These vital arteries sustain the rich tapestry of life in our bayou system. It’s a reflection of our commitment to making a big difference locally, for both wildlife and communities. Just like these smaller waterways are essential to the health of the entire ecosystem, our organization thrives on focused, impactful efforts.

We are thrilled to announce Carrigan Chauvin, CW39 Houston's meteorologist and traffic anchor, as the emcee for Bayou Preservation’s Into the Wild Gala! Originally from neighboring Louisiana and now a vibrant part of the Houston community, Carrigan brings her unique perspective and expertise in weather science to our event.

Dress Code: Wild Tie (Optional): This year's gala theme, "Into the Wild," extends to attire as well! We encourage guests to dress in their most creative interpretations of wilderness formal. Cocktail or formal attire with a wildlife twist, such as animal prints, florals, feathers, and other nature-inspired elements, are perfectly suited for the occasion. 

Of course, dressing to the theme is completely optional. Guests are welcome to come in traditional cocktail or formal attire. But feel free to unleash your imagination and creativity — we welcome all interpretations of the wild!
