Performance Details

Alchemy Ballet Academy, a program of nonprofit Artists in Motion, invites you to Folklore and Fairytales, an enchanting performance weaving the whimsy of fairytale favorites with classical and contemporary ballet, and the diverse and vibrant cultural music and dance from Ukraine and Norway.

Joining us as special guests are Solomia Gorokhivska and Andrei Pidkivka, renowned touring and recording artists from the ensemble Gerdan of Ukraine. Also featured will be Slaveya, the popular Balkan vocal ensemble comprised of DC area singers, many of whom are employed at the Library of Congress and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Please consider supporting our programming through your ticket purchase and optional add-on fundraising packages. Patron, Ovation, or Premier add-on packages may be purchased as a gift of support even if you are unable to attend the performance.  

• All Patron, Ovation, and Premier packages will be available for pick-up at the theater before the performance.
• Packages can be picked up by the purchaser themselves or by someone (dancer or family member) specified upon purchasing under “additional information”. 
• All Patron, Ovation, and Premier packages are fundraisers and must be purchased in advance through the Zeffy link.
• No flowers, programs, cookies, or totes will be sold at the theater on performance day.
• Digital Folklore and Fairytale show programs will be available at no cost via QR code at the performance.
