The Watford City Police Foundation is hosting its SECOND ANNUAL Father-Daughter Dance. We would like to cordially invite you to dance the night away with us and your special loved ones! A photographer will be on site to capture your special moment with a digital photograph download covered by your admission price. Complimentary refreshments will be provided. Door prizes given away throughout the night!
We know how important father- and mother-like role models are to our developing youth. A Los Angeles County Department of Health Service study in 2002 examined the relationships between role model characteristics, psychosocial functioning and health-risk behaviors and found that around 56% of adolescents 'identified with the role models.' Out of these, those having personal or direct contact with their role models had higher self-esteem and were better at academics as compared to those who didn't. Children who have positive role models, have more self-confidence, are more optimistic about their future, are more motivated and have a higher drive to achieve. There are many more reasons why role models are important to our youth and it is our goal to continue to help to foster these healthy relationships.
Father-Daughter Dance is on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at the McKenzie County Ag Expo.
Tickets are $40.00, which covers one adult admission and the accompanying children. You do not need to have a traditional father/daughter relationship to attend. Feel free to bring those you are a role model to or who look up to you as a role model.
Come as fancy or as casual as you feel comfortable. There is no dress code. We want you to feel special in whatever you choose to wear.
All proceeds from this event go to Watford City Police Foundation, in order to hold future events for our community and youth.
