Mixed Media: Printing on Unusual Papers (WKS)

Start collecting papers! In this workshop with Maria Maletesta, we will create Gelli prints using unusual papers and materials as a support.
Old wall paper, pages in a book, Tyvek, drawings, illustrations, letters, fabric, paper bags and any other materials you find to hold the print: anything! We will experiment with staining the paper with beet juice, coffee, teas and other organic materials. A variety of printing techniques will be shown.
The resulting prints can stand alone or be incorporated into larger mixed media collages.
This is a fun and experimental workshop while learning techniques for Gelli printing!
