Year of the Wood Snake - Print

In honor of the 2025 Lunar New Year, Union Hall is offering an exclusive commissioned print, Year of the Wood Snake, designed and printed by local artist Leilani Nobuko Derr.

These limited edition relief prints are hand-made in two colorways and are available for $75 starting Friday, January 24th. Proceeds will directly benefit Union Hall’s general operating budget. Additional contributions can be combined with your purchase as a donation.

This fine art print is the perfect gift to give yourself or your loved ones as a good luck omen for the coming year:

The snake represents wisdom, knowledge, intelligence, intuition, and creativity. Snakes are also associated with good luck, prosperity, fertility and longevity. In some legends, snakes are considered divine messengers and guardians of sacred places. Snakes are also revered for their ability to shed their skin and renew themselves, symbolising transformation and rebirth. Among all living creatures, the snake is the best equipped due to its magnetic resonance to hear the heartbeat of Mother Earth. It is a dynamic year to learn from the past, moving forward with wisdom, awareness, transformation, and compassion.” — Jill Lander
