Since 2019, Stay Work Play has been a leading voice for nonpartisan, issues-driven advocacy in New Hampshire, shaping policies that influence the state's ability to attract and retain young talent. At the heart of this effort is the Stay Work Play Advocacy Network—a passionate group of volunteers who meet virtually from December through June. Each meeting features guest speakers, including policy experts and lawmakers, who provide valuable insights on the key issues impacting young people in New Hampshire. These discussions guide the Committee’s recommendations and help shape Stay Work Play’s policy positions.

Join us on March 7 at 8:30 am for the next Advocacy Network meeting.

Topic & Special Guest:

to support moms and young families across the Granite State. We’re diving into Momnibus 2.0 (SB 246)—a bipartisan bill introduced in the NH House and Senate to support moms and young families across the Granite State.

This important legislation aims to:

Improve Maternal Mental Health – Expanding screening, reducing barriers to care, and equipping providers to address maternal depression.

Support Moms Across NH – Strengthening independent birth centers and training EMS providers in rural communities for labor and delivery emergencies.

Strengthen Workforce Protections – Ensuring job security for parents using employer-sponsored family leave and attending postpartum or pediatric appointments.

Expand Family Supports – Increasing access to home visits and launching a study on perinatal peer support.

Why does this matter for NH’s young people? A state that supports young families is a state that attracts and retains young talent. Ensuring access to affordable healthcare, workplace protections, and family-friendly policies is essential to building a thriving, sustainable workforce and community.

MomsRising will break down how this legislation directly impacts young families, strengthens NH’s ability to attract and retain more young people, and what it means for the future of our workforce and communities. We'll also discuss how young people can get involved to keep the momentum going and push for this bill to become law.

If you're passionate about making NH a better place for young families—or just want to learn more about how policy shapes our ability to stay, work, and play here—this is a conversation you don’t want to miss!
