This January and February, join Kathy Roark-Diehl for a free 6 -week journal writing workshop to explore different modes and styles of journal keeping. A new year is a great time to make a commitment to write daily or even weekly. The goal of this workshop will be to combine disciplined writing time with a variety of prompts, exercises, techniques, and responses. Each week we write via a guided practice for at least one hour. Participants will need a journal and the writing tool/tools they like best. Kathy Roark-Diehl, is Professor Emerita of English from NMSU-Alamogordo and an avid journal keeper. She emphasizes "pen to paper" techniques in order to free writers from their fears of evaluation. She has promoted journal writing as a way to learn content, organize time and ideas, calm fear, and explore the self. 

Sessions are January 14, 28, February 4, 11 ,25, and March 4 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.
