<div style="max-height:none;width:100%;box-sizing:inherit">Guitarist Scott Heustis is a post-genre explorer who includes elements of jazz, rock, world music, avant-garde, and experimental music in his playing. At this show he’ll collaborate with drummer Stephen Hodges, upright bassist Tony Green, and keyboard player R. Scott for an evening of daring instrumental fireworks.Meet the Scott Heustis Group, a collective of musical innovators who break musical barriers with their sonic dialogue:* The leader is guitarist Heustis, a veteran of the Southern California underground improvising scene and a Long Beach native.<div style="max-height:none;box-sizing:inherit">* At this show he’ll be joined by Stephen Hodges on drums and percussion. Another Long Beach native, he is known for playing with Tom Waits (Swordfishtrombones, Rain Dogs), Mavis Staples, Jackson Browne, and the Twin Peaks soundtracks for David Lynch. A true creative visionary.</div>* Tony Greenbrings an eclectic but soulful attitude to the bass, from which he coaxes beautiful, lingering tones. He owns and operates Ear Gallery Music Studio in Mt. Washington, and is highly regarded for his musical taste and acumen.* Keyboardist R. Scott is a highly versatile musician, improviser, and composer. His 2021 release “Faul! -The Musical”, about the infamous Paul is Dead conspiracy, is being adapted into a short film. He has been a driving force behind numerous Southern California bands such as West Coast Harem, OO Soul, The Helmut Stein Experience and others.</div> -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --Collage is a 49-seat nonprofit art gallery and concert space with excellent acoustics and a high quality sound system. We are located less than one and a half miles from the south end of the Harbor Freeway, and there are public lots on 7th Street and behind the building across the street. Street parking in our area is free after 6 PM and all day Sunday.
