SMPCW was founded in 1959 and has served families in the Goleta and Santa Barbara areas ever since. We build strong communities for families with young children that last a lifetime. Our fundraising goal is to raise funds to increase teacher pay and improve our facility, while also offering a fun event for the community! Our school is devoted to keeping preschool affordable and financially accessible to the families of Goleta and Santa Barbara.San Marcos Parent-Child Workshop (SMPCW) is a not-for-profit, cooperative preschool, afternoon child care program and parent-education class for children aged 2 to 5 years old, and their adults. Children learn, grow and make friends through self-directed play and structured group times. Parents learn about their child and themselves, and gain experience in age-appropriate activities, resolving conflicts and handling childhood challenges.
