Tech Challenge Robotics Camp: During this week-long camp students in rising 7th-12th grades will build a basic FIRST Tech Challenge robot and develop their code skills, learning the more advanced code skills needed for FIRST Tech Challenge robotics. They will apply the use of Java in addition to the block style programming they've learned in school or on other robotics teams. This camp is ideal for the upper-middle to high school student who is looking to hone their skills for team play or personal interest in STEAM subjects. Students will learn some of the basics of robot design and get hands on learning with FTC robots. The week will feature a robot showcase on Thursday at 2pm where the students will explain their programming structure and the design of their robot and attachments.
The days will be split into build and programming, outside play, and core values activities. The camp will also take a tour of the College of Engineering and hear from guest faculty during the week about careers in Engineering and STEM.
Lunch is NOT provided. Students will need to bring a water bottle and a packed lunch.
